About the role
Join us as we continue to transform and be an innovator! You will directly contribute to developing and enabling the use of enterprise API gateways, microservices frameworks and industry leading API patterns and standards. Working in close collaboration with the bank’s cloud and DevOps teams, the APIs and Microservices team provide the tools, platforms, frameworks, best practices, and hands on support for industry leading delivery of next generation cloud-based APIs and microservices.
This role will work across a range of major initiatives at the bank, including delivery of new payments, product calculations, online banking, and data analytics initiatives. We offer a hybrid and flexible ways of working.
Responsibilities include:
• Designing, developing and delivering API and integration platform (Kong, zOS Connect, integration services) enhancements, new features and automation
• Providing subject matter expert support and guidance for transformation and change initiatives
• Support and mentor other engineers in your team to enable them to develop technically.
• You'll be part of an on-call roster (and you'll be receive on-call compensation in addition to your salary)
About you
We would be really interested to talk to you if you have some of the below experience:
• Experience operating API, integration and microservices platforms within an enterprise environment.
• Experience developing API’s and microservices to deploy onto AWS or GCP.
• Ideally you will be skilled in either NodeJS, Python and/or Java (any of these please apply).
• The ability to create pipelines and use CI/CD methodology.
• You’ll have the ability to containerise and create DevOps patterns.
• The ability and passion to mentor team members technically.
• Keen to learn and improve processes.
