The Munchkins Early Education Centre has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional professional to join our amazing members in the role of DIPLOMA QUALIFIED ROOM LEADER and/or EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER to commence for 2024. We are open to you joining our team now to create a sense of belonging before you establish yourself in a key position for 2024.

We are a smaller privately owned early education setting, located on the Northern end of the Gold Coast.

We believe we have some of the most incredible early childhood educators and teachers in the region at the moment teaching at our centreā€¦., so if you are looking for a change to a warm, welcoming, and professional environment, then we might be what you are looking for!

We are seeking applicants who are qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable about early childhood education and who can display exceeding early childhood skills in a large service. You must hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and/or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching - or equivalent qualification as assessed by ACECQA.

You will be required to display a strong strengths-based approach to your teaching and have excellent communication skills, a nurturing nature, and the ability to develop strong family partnerships - as these are at the core of everything that we do.

You need to have a solid knowledge of the NQS, and EYLF and have prior planning and programming knowledge.

We do not use online formatting, but rather a holistic floor book approach that requires sound knowledge and the ability to interpret the curriculum documents.

We do provide ongoing support and mentoring to ensure all of our team members are capable and comfortable with their documentation obligations.

You must be committed to ongoing learning and professional development as again this is at the core of our beliefs in that as early childhood professionals, we never stop learning.

You need flexibility in your working hours as we prefer our lead educators be able to work 5 days a week. This is a permanent position.

You must hold all the mandatory requirements of our legislative guidelines; blue card, first aid, child protection training, and be able to commit to the center in a long-term capacity - as consistency for the children and their families is extremely important to us and our families.

Your resume must have references that we can call upon and a summary of how your experience aligns with our requirements; having excellent written skills is also essential for this position and your resume must demonstrate your writing ability in this regard.

We pay above award wages. $70k will be offered for the right individual
