About the role
To manage and co-ordinate staff, contractors and other roles to ensure that all plants are operated & maintained in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in order to achieve the key performance indicators (KPI’s) and annual plan objectives agreed with the Business Manager Tonnage NSW. Based at Port Kembla, NSW and reporting directly to the Business Manager Tonnage NSW, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Industrial and Medical Cylinder Filling Site Operations, the related Maintenance and Site Engineering operations, and for ensuring Visible Safety Leadership on-site so that nobody gets hurt.

Other responsibilities in this role:
Accountable for the identification, planning and execution of reliability, efficiency and productivity improvements
Accountable for cost control of the on-site operations within the area and overall budget compliance
Responsible for the development of people capability within the area
Lead planning and oversee the execution of value capture through power steering to meet productivityobjectives
Accountable for meeting contractual and supply commitments
Collaborate effectively with peers, customers, and other RSP business managers
You will actively demonstrate our Values of Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion and Community
Responsible for delivery of the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in plant operations including shutdown and restart

To be successful you will have:
Degree in Engineering – Chemical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical
Proven experience in managing and directing large-scale operations in a continuous production environment
Experience in managing people and projects, supporting plant operations and engineering activities
Proven experience in guiding health and safety initiatives in hazardous environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with critical thinking ability
