We are seeking an experienced Application Packaging expert for a contract opportunity and to become part of a successful team providing high-quality services to Government departments. As an Application Packager Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM or SCCM), you will be responsible for managing the application packaging and deployment process using MECM and Intune. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient application deployments across the organization. This role requires 1-2 days a week onsite presence in Blackburn North Vic and possibly more days whenever required.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the end-to-end application packaging process, including discovery, packaging, testing, and deployment using MECM or SCCM and Intune.
- Collaborate with application owners, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and understand application dependencies.
- Package and customize applications for deployment in accordance with organizational standards and best practices.
- Test and validate application packages to ensure compatibility and proper functioning on target systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application packaging issues and deployment failures, working closely with technical support teams and vendors.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including packaging standards, processes, and deployment procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to application packaging, MECM or SCCM, and Intune, recommending and implementing process improvements.
- Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise and guidance for application packaging and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with the SCCM and Intune teams to optimize the infrastructure and improve application deployment efficiency.
- Leverage Intune to manage application deployments, policies, and security settings for mobile devices.
Your Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Packaging software for a large enterprise environment
- Extensive experience using AdminStudio and Installshield
- Extensive experience deploying software via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM or SCCM)
- Experience deploying software via Microsoft Intune
- Experience working with and creating PowerShell scripts
- Proficient in application packaging tools and technologies, such as AdminStudio, Wise Package Studio, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows Server.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and customization tasks.
- Experience with application virtualization technologies and Power BI is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex application packaging issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality application packages.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 Deployment, MECM/SCCM-related certifications, or Intune-related certifications, are desirable but not mandatory.
