Skills and Experiences:

The Role
The Clinical Psychologist will provide high-level clinical assessment and care to patients on an individual basis and in groups within the Black Dog Institute (BDI). The role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and enthusiastic team made up of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and exercise physiologists, supported by a professional administrative team and patient care coordinators who contribute to a multidisciplinary, patient-centred team approach to client care. Clinical practice occurs between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility.

Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical


Provide advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required
Provide comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client/patient progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management
Deliver manualised interventions with high fidelity and complete research trial monitoring as required
Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor as required.
Maintain ethical and professional standards and professional development as required by relevant professional bodies and the NSW Psychologists’ Registration Board.
Maintain appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to BDI policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice
