From cruisy insurance work to major collisions and your percentage of car enthusiast/skid cars, all types of vehicles come through our doors. ideally seeking someone who can work unsupervised and put out work they're proud of. We're an easy-going shop that works together in all aspects and are willing to go the extra mile for someone who will do the same for us.
2 years or more experience required
looking for someone who can do the following:
Work unsupervised
produce quality work
good time management
Sand and prepare plastic, metal, and fibreglass panels for paint
Touch-up small paint defects/rock chips, polish paint imperfections
Prime surfaces for paint
Be proficient in using spray guns for basecoat, clearcoat, primer etc
Mask areas of cars that are not being painted to counter overspray
Remove rough spots on vehicle panels
Utilise sandpaper by hand and with tools to prepare panels
Wax and polish finished paintwork
Paint signs and/or artwork on vehicles
Colour match paints to suit vehicles
Mix tinters to create the right paint
Treat vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals
Make use of other general skills that would realistically be needed in a refinishing environment (cleaning and preparing surfaces etc.)
