John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella have commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West – Eastern Tunnelling Package.
With a contract worth $1.63 billion, the Eastern Tunnelling Package includes construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations. Starting at The Bays, tunnel boring machines will cross the harbour near the Anzac Bridge, before heading to the new Pyrmont station and then under Darling Harbour before reaching Hunter Street in the heart of the CBD.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to be based in the CBD. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating planning, design interface, program and construction methods for all mechanical works.
- Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with 2+ years post qualification experience
- Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects
- Prior experience in tunnel civil construction will be highly regarded.
- Confident communicator
- Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines.
