Established in 2006, Roadtrek is a leading RV motorhome & caravan repairer, modifier and more recently a motorhome manufacturer. The business is located in Craigieburn in our modern full equipped facility. We employ skilled tradesman across all trades in our busy workshop which can cater for up to 25 vehicles. We have a reputation within the RV industry and Australia wide for quality of workmanship due in part to a long history of retaining our satisfied workforce. The work is varied, and interesting with no two jobs being the same. We are also in the next phase of our growth with establishing ourselves as a leading off-road motorhome manufacturer. We are currently working through the prototype stages of these vehicles which has created the need for a full-time Vehicle Body Builder to assist with product development and production needs. Qualifications & experience
Vehicle body manufacturing in a similar role / or equivalent experience is desirable.
Vehicle body building trade qualification (preferred) Competency with working with Motorhomes and buses in the RV industry
Experienced with MIG welding & hand tools
Able to think for themselves and willingness for problem solving
Interpreting construction plans & drawing
Strong awareness and focus on Occupational Workplace Health & Safety
Have a positive attitude & strong work ethic
Tasks & responsibilities
Perform repairs / modifications to RV motorhome bodies against work order instructions.
Assist in the dismantle / repair and assembly of RV’s including those both interior fittings and external body damage.
Refurbishment of RV interior including walls & roof.
Prototype and manufacturer of new products associated with RV interiors & body modifications.
Select correct materials for fabrication.
Cut & Weld components together by using mig & tig welding.
Welding of structural components.
Grinding & metal finishing
