Salary $70,000-75,000
1 x Full-time Positions [no split-shifts]
4 day working week, 3 days off, great work life balance

Goldfish Bar and Restaurant seeks an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to work in a fast-paced environment. Our team is an established one; we value our staff just as much as our loyal customers.



Summary of Position:

Organise and control the operations of the restaurant alongside the Venue Manager to ensure a great dining experience for our patrons. Duties in brief include:

· be responsible for quality control; making sure they are at the right standard and are presented correctly before they go out to the customer

· weekly meetings with management and owner

· consistently monitor product and labor costs

· customer service and dealing with complaints

· explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations in the restaurant

· selecting and training of staff

· roster writing

· monitor and maintain POS system

· assist in new menu implementation

· recruit, motivate and manage staff

· oversee the day-to-day running restaurant alongside, and in conjunction with the Venue Manager

To be successful in the role, you will need to have:

Appropriate qualifications such as a Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma at a minimum
A minimum of at least 2-years formal experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
A hands on approach to running the venue


Requirements

Knowledge of Food Hygiene and OH&S Standards
A professional presentation and approach
A passion for food and alcohol
Ability to work closely with management to ensure the consistent high quality service is provided
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and good communication skills
Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure
Be available to work days, nights and weekends and have your own reliable transport
An ability and desire to work morning, late evening and weekend shifts
Innovative and organised
