We are looking for full-time Carpenters with at least 2 years’ experience working in the building industry. Responsibilities
• Working in a manufacturing environment for portable modular buildings
• Read drawings and specifications to build based on supplied drawings
• Renovate and repair structures and modular buildings
• Erecting framework, panelised systems and roof framing
• Cutting and assembling materials to manufacture fixtures and fittings
• Laying sub-flooring and floorboards
• Installing doors, windows other fixtures
• Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Selecting and order materials
• Work with roofing and fascia panels and fittings
• Sometimes repair existing fittings
Qualifications
• Relevant skills/certification
• Qualified Carpenter – 2nd fix
• At least 2 years’ employment experience in the building industry
• Be reliable, punctual and have excellent communication skills
• Hold a manual drivers license
• White Card – mandatory
• EWP/Fork Lift tickets preferred
• Self-motivation and ability to work as part of a team
• Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations pertaining to the role and its working environment
• An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with high standards of efficiency and workmanship
This is not a FIFO role.
Wages are paid weekly. The base annual salary in the order of $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test.
