Your new role In your new role as logistics specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
Collaboration with management to design, implement, and monitor all transport network operations, with particular emphasis on third-party domestic freight.
Ensure end-to-end visibility across the logistics network (internal and external), leading projects to establish an integrated network across the supply chain function.
Monitor and improve carrier performance, compliance, and relationships across the freight network to optimise cost per unit, operational performance, and key customer service metrics.
Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement plans for operational issues, collaborating with internal and external partners to implement changes.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated understanding of transport, logistics operations, 3PL management, and warehousing, ideally in an e-commerce/retail environment.
Strong systems skills, including ERP systems exposure and a good grasp of the MS Office package.
High-level communication and influencing skills, with a track-record of managing third-party relationships successfully, continuous improvement, and meeting key business objectives.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
