Cotton Logistics Manager

Management of warehouse operations to control Bale stock levels, bale supply requirements and bale delivery requirements Management of bale inventory system to guarantee supply requirements Implementation of plans to maintain bale stock levels to meet supply requirements Bale exports – as an Authorised Officer the inspection of shipping containers and commodities, completing appropriate Government documentation for cotton exports Compilation and processing of ginning and bale data to track all stages in supply and distribution of bales Generating RCTI payments - including purchasing, storage and distribution transactions Liaising with the Export Manager, Gin Manager, gin staff and Commodity Trader to ensure sufficient bales for supply and delivery/transportation schedules of bales Direct junior staff, monitor staff performance, oversee accurate records are generated and maintained A relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management, supply & distribution or similar At least 2 years previous logistics coordination or management experience, preferably in cotton logistics Ability to manage and direct junior staff Hold Authorised Officer certification or be enrolled in a relevant course with certification within 6 months of commencing position The Collymongle Gin is looking to fill the Cotton Logistics Manager role at the family-owned operation in Collarenebri. The gin operates 5 Lummus gin stands, and is located 30km east of Collarenebri, 110km west of Moree, on the Gwydir Highway. The Cotton Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the supply and distribution of cotton bales from farms to the gin, and distributing and exporting after ginning.
