Assistant Accountant

The candidate will have exposure to multiple roles within previous companies, involved in book-keeping, project cost tracking, procurement, and general administration.
Reporting to the Company Accountant, the changing priorities of the growing business will require the individual to be flexible in the role and be a strong communicator.
• Full Accounts Payable Function including data entry, invoice cost coding, PO matching and payments.
• Review and reconciliation of creditor accounts to creditor statements.
• Apply for trade creditor accounts as required.
• Reconciliation and data entry of company credit card accounts.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Procurement and administrative assistance.
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations.
• General administrative duties.

Desirable Experience / Qualifications:
• Certificate in Bookkeeping/ Business/Accounting (or a minimum 2 year’s book-keeping experience);
• Highly proficient in Microsoft computing suite of software;
• Xero Accounting Software experience is desirable;
• Ability to be flexible in role, balancing duties as necessary;
• Professional manner and courteous.
