The opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance – Advice, Business performance Analyst is a key member of the Finance Performance & Planning division supporting the delivery of reporting, forecasting, advice, analysis and insights on the business performance of the AMP Advice business.
The role will also assist in the production of strategic planning and strategic initiatives

How you will make an impact
• Support the Manager in the provision of financial analysis and insights on the Advice business.
• Production and co-ordination of the Quarterly Operational Cost Forecast
• Assisting with the production and co-ordination of the Advice annual cost budget and strategic planning process
• Preparation, production and coordination of monthly cost performance reports and half yearly reports.
• Ensure accuracy of reports produced and understanding of performance drivers
• Work with Financial Control in ensuring accurate and timely financial information in the GL on a monthly basis and driving issue resolution.
• Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and work with other finance teams to streamline processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis.
• Liaising with other finance and Business Line teams regarding queries.
• Assist Project reporting team on cost transfers and queries
What you will bring to the role

• Ideally at least 6 year’s relevant Financial Services experience.
• Associate entity reporting (essential)
• Planning and forecasting experience across expenses
• Relevant Tertiary or Degree qualification
• Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Software application skills (expected level):
o Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced)
o Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Peoplesoft (intermediate to advanced)

To be successful in this role, you have an excellent analytical and problem-solving skill, and take pride in your ability to deliver quality results within competing priorities and deadlines. As well as possessing excellent knowledge of financial services industry and financial modelling abilities you find it easy to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with your stakeholder as well as your team.
