State Cellar Door Event Manager

Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all aspects of local Cellar Doors Events, from concept to execution, managing the successful operation of Cellar Doors in the state to ensure they meet their goals and objectives while providing a seamless and enjoyable experience to our customers.
Job Duties
• Collaborate with clients or stakeholders to determine Cellar Door Event objectives, themes, and budget constraints.
• Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and offering suitable solutions
• Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations.
• Secure necessary permits and licenses for the Cellar Door Event.
• Create and manage Cellar Door Event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate the creation of marketing materials, such as invitations, flyers, and social media content.
• Utilize various channels to reach target audiences and boost attendance.
• Work with internal stakeholders to develop Event & Cellar Door agendas, schedules, and content.
• Overseeing work by contractors
• Manage Cellar Door Event registration processes, including online registration systems.
• Supervise Cellar Door Event staff.
• Handle any unforeseen issues or emergencies that may arise during the Cellar Door Event
• Coaching and training staff
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience:
Minimum qualification is tertiary degree or Diploma with 2 years full-time mandatory relevant work experience. Three years relevant wine industry experience will be considered suitable in place of the above qualification.
• Proven experience in Event planning and management.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Budget management expertise.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Event management software and tools.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Minimum WSET Level 2 Qualification
