About the role:
COOL BANANAS SERVICES PTY LTD (‘’Cool Bananas’’) is a managed services business that specialises in providing ICT support to the education sector, primarily based on a long-term contract with the Department of Education and currently seeking a skilled and qualified Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our growing team.
As a Computer Network and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
Develop, configure and integrate computer systems by analysing, developing the architecture specification diagrams and data models
Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations, software, hardware and communications
Administering management tools, analysing and monitoring network performance
Develop and update network system, troubleshooting on various system and network problems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve technical and application problems
Provide specialist support to the networking system, and upgrade the server regularly
Perform routine network start-up and shutdown procedures, prepare and maintain procedures and documentation for network inventory and control records, with providing backup and assistance in retrieval functions
Monitor network traffic and manage day to day technical incident and problem activities
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
At least two years’ work experience as a Computer Network and Systems Engineer
Great at Database management and cloud-based server maintenance
Demonstrate deep understanding of network programming
Strong analytical and time management skills
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong focus on customer engagement
Positions throughout Victoria
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 PA (plus superannuation)
