Cleared are working with a world-leading deep-tech company with a strong pipeline of work in the Defence and Space sectors & are looking to speak to Hardware/Electronics Technicians who are based in Adelaide. As this role is within the Defence sector you will need to be an Australian Citizen and ideally already with a AGSVA clearance. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Hardware/Electronics Technician to join a dynamic production team, providing the opportunity to enhance your skills while contributing to the rapid prototyping of the company's technologies. The Technician will be responsible for various tasks within the production environment, including inventory management, assembly, testing, inspection, and related documentation for electromechanical assemblies. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to support and contribute to fault diagnosis and rectification for electronic assemblies in other development projects within the company Labs. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND BEHAVIORS :

Evaluate and procure appropriate hardware components.
Assist with laboratory space setup and optimization.
Interpret technical drawings and documentation for electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
Conduct bench testing of various systems, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Assist in the review and development of documentation, processes, and procedures.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES :

Collaborate with project teams on product design, development, and testing.
Aid in the manufacturing and testing of prototypes and products.
Maintain product development artifacts, including bill of materials, circuit diagrams, and technical design documents.
Assist in the review of product documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain a NV1 security clearance.
Certificate II or III in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of qualified experience in electromechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
Experience interpreting and understanding technical documentation.
Trained in IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 or higher.
Trained in IPC-A-610 Class 2 or higher.
Proficiency with specialized hand tools and laboratory test equipment.
Awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
Completion of a technical apprenticeship (desirable).
Knowledge of the Defence and/or space sector is advantageous.
