Position: Practice Manager- Australian Audiology is a fast growing chain of Hearing and Ear Health Clinics across regional Queensland and Northern NSW region. We are looking to recruit an experienced Health Practice Manager to supervise the clinics’ daily operations, support the senior management and help grow the organisation in new locations.
Overview of the role
Australian Audiology deals with a wide range of hearing solutions across its Audiology clinics and the selected candidate must have minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in managing the daily operations of similar services.
The Practice Manager will be required to work closely with multiple audiologists, clients and vendors, manage daily operations of our existing clinics in addition including coordinating marketing, financial, recruitment and administrative activities of the organisation.
Job profile
Weekly visits to each of our hearing and ear health clinics at Runaway Bay, Victoria Point, Tweedheads, Logan Holmes, and head office to oversee the operations of each clinic and staff.
Possess in depth and updated knowledge of various Hearing Services Programs (HSP) offered by the federal government to mentor and supervise the admin for online lodgement of the claims accurately.

Monitoring and ensuring the documentary evidence required by the HSP are systematically stored in our servers to work and manage a paperless office environment.

The selected candidate must be an expert in the Fitting Wizard Software for generating reports from to effectively manage daily appointments of the patients across all clinics

Review the outcomes or fitting plans outlined by the Audiologist to the patients on a daily basis.

Coordinate collection of relevant documents with the store supervisor/admin assistant (depending in the store’s business activities and size) regarding submission of all claims with multiple insurance and health funds, troubleshoot any issues and objections related to the claims, etc. in a timely manner.

Prepare, monitor, and manage the budgetary outlay for each clinic including preparing revenue projections, estimated expenses and cash flow to ensure each clinic operates smoothly.

Collecting information from the store supervisor/staff for placing orders and returns of hearing aids, maintaining inventory, ensuring timely shipping of new and returned hearing aids, spare parts and other consumables to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained at all times.

Liaising with the vendors for placing new orders, conducting price negotiations, issues related to quality and returned merchandise as well as receiving the corresponding credit notes within the defined TAT.

Supervise, recruit, appraise and mentor office staffs for improving their job performance by devising and implementing new rules and policies. Coordinate management of physical facilities and ensuring the installed equipment are maintained and serviced to the required standards
Coordinate marketing and joint promotional activities with the vendors, development of information/presentation collaterals and external consultants to ensure all marketing activities adhere to brand standards and budgets


Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification - As we have strong expansion plans, we are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s or higher degree in business administration, marketing or economics to play a meaningful role to grow the organisation.
Relevant experience - The ideal candidate will have 5 years of relevant experience in managing a chain of Audiology clinics.
Software knowledge and IT skills - The selected applicants will have strong hands on understanding and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Fitting Wizard and QuickBooks. Any knowledge of creative software like PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, etc. will be an added advantage to develop marketing and display collaterals
Open to frequent travelling – Our growth plans include opening of hearing clinics in regional centres of QLD and Northern NSW. Hence, the selected candidate will be required to travel to these areas for overseeing the operations of the clinics, conducting awareness and marketing campaigns.
As our clientele and employees come from wide selection of ethnic backgrounds and cultures, proficiency in a second community language (other than English) and prior experience of working in a multicultural environment are highly desirable for the selected candidate. This will also be helpful in promoting our services with multilingual marketing and engagement ideas to expand our client base.
Job type and Location: Full-time position in Runway Bay with weekly visits to the clinics in Tweed Heads, Victoria Point, Logan Holmes, Mount Ommney and any future clinics.
Gross annual salary: 75,000 (excluding Super Annuation)
