Role introduction..

As The Local Project’s Content Creator, you will be joining our Social & Digital team to execute premium video and social content across all The Local Project platforms and The Local Productions Client Platforms. You will have a strong understanding of The Local Project’s audience and a passion to create innovative short-form video content that tells authentic, human-centred stories. Please note, this role is full-time based in our Alexandria office with 1 day a week from home, and regular client travel.


Some of the things you'll be working on...

- Ideate, produce and capture short form video content ideas for all of The Local Project’s social platforms.

- Edit short-form video content, adhering to relevant brand guidelines and style guides.

- Manage quality, quantity and filing of in-bound short-form content from external videography teams.

- Interpret creative briefs (internal or external) and execute content from filming to final edit, creating world-class short-form social media content.

- Work with the Founder & Director and Senior Social Media Coordinator to create bespoke short form video content for The Local Project social channels including but not limited to Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest Idea Pins.

Experience you'll need...

- 3+ years’ experience working across social and digital content, creating strategic short-form, social media content.

- Passion for short-form social media content with a strong understanding of all major social media platforms

- Experience in filming content via iPhone, and editing short-form content via PremierePro and/or Davinci Resolve

- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in communicating with external stakeholders.

- Ability to understand trends in the digital content and social media space.

- Driver’s license and car is required.
