MEGT in partnership with our multinational Host Employer are looking for a 2nd year or advanced level Mechanical Apprentice . This is your opportunity for a placement with the World's largest general Container Port Operators located at the Port of Brisbane. The successful candidate will gain invaluable skills and experience while working towards a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical). THE ROLE:
Assist the engineering team; - preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown support for cranes, automated stacking cranes, straddle carriers, reach stackers, forklifts, and a vehicle fleet.
Exposure to large equipment, hydraulics, diesel-electric, automation, PLC, air-conditioning.
Assist with operations breakdown management.
Suitable and adequate completion of work orders with recorded and detailed comments.
Assist in other mechanical technician duties as directed.
ABOUT YOU:
Must be 2nd year apprentice or above
Forklift, Working at heights and EWP Licence (Desirable)
Data entry experience (Desirable)
Driver's license
Strong attention to detail and professional presentation
Motivated and reliable team player
