Seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Town Supervisor for regional town Your new company Our client is a local government organisation that governs and provides essential services to its community. It focusses on infrastructure, planning, waste management, environmental conservation, and community services to enhance liveability and promote economic growth in the region. The council collaborates with residents, businesses, and stakeholders to make informed decisions for the region's betterment. Your new role will include (but not be limited to): Reporting to the Senior Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the town Council is maintained council, including the parks and gardens, halls, cemeteries, footpaths, show grounds, waste facilities, dipyards, wash down facilities, housing, public conveniences, swimming pools, airports and water treatment facilities. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in horticulture activities including parks and gardens maintenance and construction, landscaping, pruning, plant knowledge and identification of weeds. Proven experience in the programming of works and facilitating / managing projects. The ability to operate relevant small plant and equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to mowers, brush cutters and skid steer. Willingness to undertake training to become a competent water treatment plant operator. Sound level of numeracy and literacy skills. Possess a current herbicide spray operators ticket (ACDC) along with experience in the safe handling of chemicals will be highly regarded. Proven leadership capability along with basic public relation skills and the ability to deal with the public. Current 'C' class driver's licence and General Construction Safety Induction Card.
