Pay: AUD $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Key Responsibilities include:
o Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' emotional, psychological, developmental, and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardized tests.
o Evaluate functional potential in clients' living environments, recommending environmental adaptations to maximize their performance and ensure safety.
o Develop, implement, and review individualized care or intervention plans to enhance clients' functional capacity and community participation.
o Plan and direct therapeutic programs through vocational, recreational, remedial, social, and educational activities on an individual or group basis.
o Provide therapeutic interventions and recommend adaptive equipment to assist clients in overcoming functional limitations and achieving set goals.
o Collaborate with other health professionals, NDIS coordinators, community-based services, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic and coordinated care delivery.
o Advocate for clients' rights and needs within various systems, ensuring they have access to necessary supports and services.
o Educate clients and their families on strategies to manage conditions, improve quality of life, and maintain independence in the community.
o Provide advice to family members, carers, employers, and educators about adapting environments to better support client needs.
o Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to achieve set goals.
o Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with relevant legislative requirements, ethical guidelines, and professional or scheme-specific standards.
Requirements:
• Tertiary Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Experiences within a home care, disability care &residential aged care setting desired.
• Deep understanding of Occupational Therapy principles, theories, methods, and their appropriate application.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to commute to client homes and aged care facilities
• Valid driver's license and access to dependable transportation.
• Police Check
