An opportunity exists for an Electrician to join the Lead Smelter Maintenance team. This role is based residential Mount Isa, reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Electrical and instrument inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as installations to support the Lead Smelter.
You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience working on HV and LV motors, variable speed drives, soft starters and conveyor systems.
Ability to fault-find during electrical breakdowns and experience on Ramsay Weighers, SMC positioners, ultrasonic level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters and magnetic flow meters will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a full valid Queensland Electrical licence is mandatory for this role, with an instrumentation qualification highly preferred. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 - 6 years trade experience and expertise in using Allen Bradley Control Logic PLC and Yokogawa CS3000.
You will have the ability to think logically and be determined to work towards finding favourable solutions and outcomes regarding plant/ safety improvements. You will value continuous improvement, exceptional communication skills and work within a team with a strong focus on safety.
