RESPONSIBILITIES AND GENERAL TASKS
- This position is tasked with the daily running and accountability for the performance of the CNC Manufacturing Department of the Beresfield factory. You will be required to work and communicate seamlessly with the Production Managers from the Beresfield branch and have equivalent supervisory powers over the Beresfield machine operators and trades assistants.
? Monitor and ensure all work in the CNC Manufacturing Department is conducted in a manner that ensures a high standard of quality, safety and is achieved within budget and timeframes.
- Undertake Liaise with the design engineers on various projects and improvements to ensure drawings are fit for use in manufacture.
- Foster, develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with personnel from all departments to meet Quarry Mining business goals.
- Assist in the management of production scheduling and capacity planning, including monitoring and assessing production to ensure continuous efficiencies and improvements in processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues, make decisions to implement solutions and involve other managers as the situation requires.
- Work with all areas of the business to deliver high quality products to meet the needs of clients, including liaising with the Operations Manager, his delegates and the Heat Treatment Manager on production schedules, stock levels and maintenance.
- Assist in the coordination of repairs and regular maintenance on plant and equipment used in the manufacturing and production process.
- Drive positive team culture as a role model in line with Quarry Mining values, identify roadblocks that impact the performance of the individual or the team and resolve issues with assistance as required.

- Ensure workshop areas under your supervision are kept clean, safe and organised.

This position is responsible for leading and managing the CNC Machine Manufacturing processes at the Beresfield premises, ensuring the effective operation and output of the department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-In-depth and detailed understanding of current best practice of production processes and CNC programming.
- Demonstrated experience providing high level leadership in a production environment, including promotion of team learning and development.
- Ability to collaborate with others, provide and accept advice and assistance (to and from) colleagues to meet business goals.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence others and deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all level.
- Commitment to excellence, safety, innovation and continuous improvement.
-Strong organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines by reacting quickly to changing priorities and situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 10 years’ experience in CNC machining of mining equipment products.
- C-Class Drivers Licence.
- Forklift licence (desirable).
