The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our newly established BlueScope Distribution site in Unanderra NSW as a Design Draftsperson. The National Product, Processing & Solutions Hub is BlueScope Distribution’s new capability. It enables us to provide our customers with a unique domestically co-coordinated supply chain solution for the delivery of large-scale projects.
Our engineering team assist with the development of new market opportunities and look to automate existing processes for our 17 sites across Australia. As part of this team, you will assist in the development of concepts and the design and detailing for approved capital projects as well as providing support to the operational and maintenance teams.
You will have the opportunity to join our team as we transform our business and assist in the development of Australian Manufacturing capability. You will receive a competitive remuneration including an attractive profit share plan (annual bonus) and access to develop your career.
What Will You Do?
In this newly created role utilising your 2D and 3D drafting expertise, you will:
- provide drafting capacity for a wide range of approved, in development Capital projects and general support work including layouts, general arrangement and detail drawings.
- provide drafting support to ensure that projects are delivered within agreed quality, cost and schedule.
- manage and register drawing library for all sites
- efficiently communicate drafting updates to all relevant stakeholders
More About You
Being passionate about drafting manufacturing and industrial drawings and sharing ideas, you will bring:
- proficiency in 2D drafting in AutoCAD
- proficiency in 3D modelling in Inventor
- high attention to detail
- proven track record of success in a fast-paced and busy role
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
