About the People Group @ Canva

We are looking for talented Individuals with skills across:
Facilities and Construction Officer
- All Things Facilities. Make sure our buildings and Canva's services are working correctly. This includes helping set up and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, service level agreements are set and adhered to, working closely with our contractors, tracking our assets, ensuring our schedule of audits are actioned and tickets are worked through and cleared. Work closely with base build organisations. Environments within the building should be maintained at all times so our staff can enjoy a pleasant working space.
- Asset Management. Track and oversee business objectives aligned to furniture and equipment management, procurement and implementation.
- Storage management. Oversee administration and organisation of storage management assets on a quarterly basis.
- Oversee Construction Projects. Administrate the construction of our office spaces and new projects. Work closely with the Facilities Lead and architect from initial concept through to delivering the final build and sign off. This will involve strong experience in documentation, supply coordination, compliance, regulation, work health and safety, communication with contractors, scope, timeline, forecasting projections and budgeting experience.
- Work Health & Safety & Compliance. Ensure the spaces Canva occupies comply with WHS regulations. Help ensure facilities and construction works are compliant and that any incidents or hazards are reported and resolved. Work alongside our People team to ensure the WHS policy is adhered to and actioned when needed.
- First Aid & Emergency Management Training. Monitor, manage and administrate the booking of company wide first aid and emergency management training sessions.
- Admin & Data Support. Monitor maintenance queue and ensure tasks are actioned inline with service level agreements.
- Innovation and Processes. Help refresh operational processes within the facilities & construction team. Identify and support implementation of cost saves, innovation and best practice. Research new and innovative tools and products that will push Canva into a realm of its own.
- Building Access Control Support. Administration, organisation and coordination of access systems. Align with the workplace team to ensure systems are set up correctly for contractors and audited on a monthly basis.
- Sustainability and Social Responsibility. Environmental awareness is baked into everything we do here at Canva. This also needs to be reflected in our facilities and construction team by aligning with organisations that fit our company values.
