What you’ll do
Woolworths are looking for expressions of interest for a Refrigeration Technician and Engineer - We are open to location and where you will be based. If you are an experienced Refrigeration Technician or Engineer who would like to be part of the team that provides the best service in the region, then we would love to hear from you.
As an Engineer, you will develop refrigeration engineering scope of work documents for all new store and store refurbishment projects as well as lead the management of in-store project support activities that deliver refrigeration works for new and store refurbishments. In addition, the Field Engineer will oversee the identification, initiation and delivery of the business units’ energy and greenhouse emissions minimisation strategies and further be involved in ensuring the successful implementation of approved projects to ensure the successful realisation of these strategies.
As a Service Technician, you will ensure facilities management services to our customers are at the highest levels and ensure we operate as a Proactive, Responsive and Efficient service model. Our Service Technicians work with us on a permanent full-time basis and across shared designated areas in a reactive and proactive maintenance capacity.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team who are team players, supporting each other across the state. They’ll guide each other with advice when they need it and buddy up on the jobs that need a few more hands. What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate for this position will have a mix of the below::
Refrigeration trade certificate i.e. completion of apprenticeship as a Refrigeration Mechanic; High regard would also be given to Relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
Demonstrated experience in the refrigeration and HVAC installation, maintenance and engineering industry, ideally in Supermarket refrigeration.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, including consultation, negotiation and high level representational skills.
Excellent understanding of engineering systems, including design, installation & maintenance.
Excellent understanding of commercial refrigeration air conditioning.
Trade qualifications in Refrigeration and appropriate licences
Current drivers licence
