Cleared are working with ASD who has a requirement for a ICT Desktop Support Engineer for an 18-month Contract! The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4 (LOR 4) This role is Canberra based at either Brindabella Park or Russell Offices Position Description
The ICT Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for working under general direction for the Deployable Support team, providing ICT troubleshooting and support to deployed users and their systems, as well as assisting with the sustainment, enhancement and hardware assembly of new deployable capability.
Essential Criteria:
Participate in the development of new ICT capability and system upgrades in accordance with user requirements and technology advancements.
Provide technical advice assistance with the sustainment and enhancement of Windows systems.
Install, sustain, enhance, support and maintain Deployable ICT devices. Including assistance with the building of new deployable capability.
Basic network configuration including switch port configuration, network-based security management configuration, DHCP and print services.
Troubleshoot issues with Deployable ICT devices and systems.
Manage incidents, problems, continuous service improvement and workflows to meet deadlines.
Engage and liaise with customers to ensure their requirements are investigated and met.
Transfer technical knowledge through production and update of relevant technical documentation and instructions and mentoring other staff members.
Major Responsibilities:
Undertakes routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and/or software.
Conducts tests of hardware and/or software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools.
Documents details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated.
Desirable Criteria
The role may require domestic travel.
