The focus of the Department is to ensure the continuity of Australian Business, whilst providing legislation and polices that ensure the continuity and safety of individuals and business. Your new role This is an exciting position where you will work with a number of teams that are subject-matter experts in their field. Duty of the role are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
Drafting policy documents for review and publication
Preparing draft reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Executive level employees
Provide advice on current and future policies
Draft and present reports and polices to ministers for review
Participating in committees and forums
Engage with subject experts to assist with the conducting of research and analysis activities
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 4 years experience working within the Australian Public Service within a Policy writing/development position. This position is only open to Australian citizens and you must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) What you'll get in return This is an exciting position that is offered as a Section26 Transfer or a 12-month non-ongoing contract with a view to permanency.
