PTG currently have multi positions available for qualified Heavy Stream Diesel Mechanics at their Buronga (Mildura) Branch.
Responsibilities
Working with Heavy Vehicles and other fleet vehicles you will have the ability to perform:
• Scheduled services.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Ad hoc repairs and maintenance.
• Efficiently and effective attend to and manage breakdowns.
• Ability to follow electrical diagrams and workshop manuals.
• Customer service to internal stakeholders. • Mentor and assist with training apprentices. Skills and experience
• Heavy vehicle qualified mechanic. • Current Heavy Rigid licence preferred but not essential.
• Possess sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Leadership qualities essential for relief Team Leader duties.
• Ability to work in a dynamic workshop in a positive team environment. • A high safety initiative.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Reliable and Self motivated.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Available and willing to work flexible start times, overtime including after hour call outs as required Ability to mentor and professionally train apprentices.
• Physically active-some manual handling involved.
• Self-motivated to engage in professional service and identify opportunities to improve workshop practice
Salary Range : $70, 000- $80, 000/year
