Are you a well versed Foreman looking for a new challenge in the construction industry? We are looking for an experienced foreman to join a local business within Canberra for assisting with the overall management, performance and successful delivery of the assigned project/s in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will be responsible for helping run large commercial projects within the ACT as on site foreman
Your Key responsibilities
Working with the Site manager as directed to ensure the success and efficient running of the site and projects
Enure all worked have been site inducted and copies of up to date licenses are obtained and PPE compliance
Conduct briefings/meetings on work requirements safety/environmental issues/concerns as required
Assist with project spot audits and participate in the site safety inspections
Management of defects post project completion.
Ensure all works are completed as per the documentation, relevant standards and QA requirements including ITPs.
In-process inspection to verify that work is being carried out according to specified requirements
Ensure that injuries/incidents and/or dangerous occurrences are recorded and investigated in conjunction with the WHSE Manager and Site / Project Manager
Ensuring all WHS requirements are in order
Incoming inspection of delivered goods
Skills:
Time management
General knowledge of IT and document control
Advanced oral and written communication
Team Player
Work autonomously
Experience:
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, working on residential or commercial development sites desired - ( MUST HAVE LOCAL EXPERIENCE)
Strong fit out experience
Qualifications:
A relevant trade background or formal qualification in a construction related discipline.
