MEREWETHER BEACH HOTEL (OPERATIONS) PTY LTD trading as The Beach Hotel Merewether is looking for a full time Human Resource Manager to join the team.

The Beaches as it's known, is Newcastle's most iconic coastal venue, featuring stunning panoramic seaside views, mouth-watering cocktails and delicious food.

Enjoy a cocktail on the deck with friends and soak up the stunning views of Merewether, Dixon Park and Bar Beaches, or bring the family for dinner and a live show by the local pod of dolphins frolicking off Merewether Beach below.
Whether you’re after a sun-soaked meal, a night out with friends enjoying local live music, or the perfect waterfront wedding venue, The Beaches has something for you.

To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 2 years' experience in a similar position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating human resource management strategies, policies and plans to meet business needs
advising and assisting other Managers in applying sound recruitment and selection practices, and appropriate induction, training and development programs
developing and implementing performance management systems to plan, appraise and improve individual and team performance
representing the organisation in negotiations with unions and employees to determine remuneration and other conditions of employment
developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs and equal employment opportunity programs, and ensuring compliance with related statutory requirements
overseeing the application of redundancy and other employee retrenchment policies
monitoring employment costs and productivity levels
may train and advise other Managers in personnel and workplace relations matters
drive employee culture and employer branding through HR initiatives and processes to align and drive company values
develop and implement the HR strategy to support the growth of existing and newly acquired venues
