Restaurant Manager
About Us: The Century is an award-winning restaurant which presents elevated Chinese classics in their full authenticity. Our traditional food menu is seamlessly matched with an extensive wine list and modern interior. We are now seeking to employ a qualified and competent Restaurant Manager to join our team.
Your Role: As a Restaurant Manager, you will lead and manage your team in providing premium customer service to our customers. Understanding of operations in Chinese restaurants, Cantonese and Chinese cuisine, and extensive wine lists, and experience with international and local clientele.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day running of the restaurant.
- Establish rapport with our customers to attend to their needs.
- Problem solving – Handle customer enquiries and complaints.
- Manage roster, recruitment and stock management and staff training.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety guidelines.
- Work closely with the Kitchen Department to maintain our standards and consistency in food preparation and service.
- Administration duties including managing bookings and organising functions.
Our requirements:
A relevant qualification is highly regarded. Extensive leadership experience and team management in the hospitality industry. Language fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese candidates preferred. Experience in restaurant management with a focus on wine is preferred.
Remuneration:
We offer $70,000-$75,000 p.a. plus superannuation. Offer will commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
