Diesel Fitter - Mechanic required to join our experienced underground maintenance team at our Edna May – Operations. DIDO 14/7 Roster.
Salary : $ 55 per hour depending on experience
Permanent full time role

Requirements:
• Certificate 3 or higher in Fitter, Diesel Plant fitting, Mechanical trade, etc or relevant qualification
• Additional 5 years of experience in similar role may be considered in lieu of qualifications
• Experience on a field mine site equipment within the workshop.
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting pneumatics and hydraulic circuits.
• Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
• Able to provide National Police clearance (within 6 months of commencement)
• Working at Heights
• Provide First Aid
Responsibilities:
• Servicing and maintenance of underground mining plant equipment - Jumbo’s, Boggers, Graders, and Loaders
• Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding on all fixed plant and related machinery.
• Diagnosing of mechanical faults and replace parts as required.
• Review drawings and job specifications to determine machine faults.
• Disassemble and assemble machine parts, engines, replace faulty parts, etc.
• Maintaining equipment, diagnosing problems, and implementing preventative maintenance.
• Updating maintenance logbooks
• Check work in process and finished product quality and test performance.
• Experience with MIG, TIG welding and metal fabrication processes.
