Our Client, KENILWORTH COUNTRY BAKERY, is looking to employ BAKER/PASTRY COOK in multiple positions for the busy bakery in Kenilworth, Queensland. This position is a full-time contract with a salary ranging from 70-75K AUD per annum plus superannuation, which will be negotiable to the right candidate.
You will be required to do the following duties:
Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc., following traditional and modern recipes
Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
Glazing buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing
Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel
Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment.
Creating and decorating pastries.
Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
To be considered for this role, you should:
Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
Proven experience as Pastry Cook, baker or relevant role.
Have at least 3 years of work experience as a Pastry Cook/ Baker.
Certificate III or IV in retail baking or patisserie is preferred.
Have Australian work rights.
