The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our Marsden Park team as an Afternoon Shift Supervisor. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
Be part of the Leadership Team where you will play a pivotal role in leading team members that support the operations of steel processing, warehousing, transport and logistics. You’ll lead by example, ensuring our products are delivered on time for our customers, and making sure you champion safety and that you and the team are never compromised.
You will be a driven leader that is focused on the success of your team, the output of work and meeting the shifts requirements. Your demonstrated experience in a similar role will be nurtured by a supportive leadership team that will ensure your success. This opportunity will offer you career development through continuous learning, business growth and your own personal leadership aspirations.
The afternoon shift hours will be 3:00pm to 11:06pm, Monday to Friday.
What Will You Do?
Leading our skilled afternoon shift team, you will:
- build and sustain an effective team capable of producing exceptional standards in safety, quality, lead times and delivery in full, on time measures
- support and assist your team with daily tasks
- ensure that all shifts are working collaboratively to drive improvement of all operational processes
- plan, coordinate and control the dispatch and movement of material
- lead and control inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensure the accuracy of our stock holding
More About You
As a safety focused leader with an enthusiasm to see your team succeed, you will bring:
- experience supervising within an operations, warehousing or logistics environment
- computer competency and willingness to learn our systems (e.g. SAP).
- an ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team
- demonstrated ability to motivate and influence a team
- a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
