As the Head of Engineering at Bilue, you will be responsible for leading, enabling and scaling the software engineering department in order to create digital solutions that deliver meaningful impact for our clients.
Drawing on your impressive technical expertise and your track record of delivering high quality client solutions, you will be orchestrating our engineering capabilities across mobile, web and cloud to create outstanding solutions to meet client requirements.
You will be adept at engaging in pre-sales, engineering staff utilisation, and have the depth of expertise required to provide technical oversight for the design and delivery of client solutions as required. You will thrive on facilitating successful outcomes for both clients and the company, and be motivated to grow the engineering team in line with the company’s strategic growth targets.
Key areas of responsibility for the Head of Engineering role include:
People Leadership
- Provide leadership and guidance to the wider engineering team, whilst also ensuring they are aligned with the company's strategic direction and vision
- Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve their career goals
- Promote staff engagement and foster a high-performance and collaborative culture
Technical Leadership
- Leverage your extensive expertise in mobile, web, and cloud technologies by acting as a ‘technical design authority’ to guide the team in technical decision-making when designing and delivering client solutions
- Be attuned to the latest industry trends and advancements to drive engineering team enablement and client proposals
Pre-Sales Solution Design
- Utilise your deep technical knowledge to lead the team in designing solutions for client proposals during pre-sales
- Together with engineering and delivery team members, play a key role in estimating the cost and duration of solution delivery to inform client proposals, and development of statement of works (SOWs) for projects
Enablement
- Develop and implement strategies to equip our software engineering staff with the skills, tools, and best practices needed for successful project delivery
- In conjunction with company leadership, engage with key ecosystem partners to identify and select strategic capabilities and platforms (typically SaaS) to incorporate into solutions, and enable the engineering team therein
Growth
- Collaborate with company leadership and talent acquisition teams to expand our software engineering team in alignment with the company growth strategy and client project demands
