- Allocation of work to tradespersons, apprentice’s and trades assistants according to their ability and ensuring they understand and are adequately trained for the assigned task.
- Supervision of all workshop employees and making sure their work is to a quality standard and is conducted in a safe manner in accordance with our HSE requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the flow of jobs to ensure the task is completed correctly, first time and on time.
- Report any fabrication discrepancies, variations, changes etc. to the Workshop Manager and Project Manager.
- Attend and report on job progress at the weekly production meetings.
- Attend the project hand over meetings ensuring all aspects of the project are understood and a work pack has been supplied by the Project Manager.
- Ensure employees are booking their hours to the correct jobs and rectify where necessary.
- Ensure all employees are inducted prior to commencing employment.
- Conduct prestart meetings
- Conduct / assist with toolbox meetings
- Complete monthly workshop inspections
- Ensure employees meet the safety KPI’s / requirements.
