About Pinnacle College
Pinnacle College is a non-denominational, independent school (F-12) located in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. A distinctive feature of Pinnacle College is its diversity, it is a place where multicultural values and principles are actively supported and nurtured. Pinnacle College established its first campus at Gilles Plains in 2005, its second campus at Elizabeth East in 2010, and its third campus at Golden Grove in 2019.
About the Role
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Librarians for a part time permanent position at our Golden Grove campus. As a Librarian at Pinnacle College you will be responsible for curating an inspiring book collection, promoting literacy, and fostering a nurturing environment for our students to explore, discover, and grow.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the school library, including cataloguing, shelving, and organisation of resources.
- Collaborate with educators to support the integration of library resources into the curriculum.
- Assist students in finding and selecting books that match their interests and reading levels.
- Conduct engaging library programs, including book clubs, reading challenges, and storytelling sessions.
- Teach information literacy skills, guiding students in research projects and critical thinking.
- Stay updated on educational trends and new literature to continually enrich the library's offerings.
- Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring the library is a safe space for all.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV or higher in Library and Information Services or similar.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
- A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College.
- Working with Children Check.
