Due to the strong growth of Power Electronics Australia, an exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our well-respected, industry leading company.
Based at Head Office, Hemmant (Brisbane) QLD, this is a great opportunity to expand your electrical and renewables career in grid connected applications in a supportive team environment. The work will be varied and interesting and covers a range of Battery and Solar projects. Full training will be given.
Your duties will include:
• Supporting field technicians with programming inverters and Hold Point testing, (remotely and at times on site).
• Checking and updating settings for Generator Performance Standards (GPS)
• Assisting customers with inverter testing and hold point testing.
• Working with Power Electronics Engineers and the Grid team to troubleshoot software, firmware, and settings issues.
• Liaise with Power Electronics Spain engineers.
• Monitoring site equipment and advising any issues.
• Assist with any site communication protocols and issues.
• Follow relevant codes and industry standards which govern electrical installation and maintenance.
• Demonstrate aptitude with electrical and mechanical tools.
• Read manuals, drawings, and specifications to ensure correct operation of equipment.
• Understand written information and instructions and correspond clearly and concisely.
• Other duties as directed.

To be successful in this role you will have:
• Strong electrical knowledge and aptitude, hands-on skills, and good problem-solving ability.
• Very good software knowledge Incl Microsoft suite
• Skilled in various communications protocols
• Good communication in both English and Spanish
• A customer focus and be flexible and attentive to customers' needs.
• A current practicing License as a Registered Electrician.
• Full working rights in Australia
• Current Drivers licence.
• The ability to work as part of a team.

Ideal applicants will possess a wide skillset, which could include commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, monitoring and repair of high-power electrical equipment.

AC Drives/Inverter Experience would be an advantage.
