Our client is a family-owned Australian agribusiness with a number of cattle properties and modern feedlot and properties across Queensland who is known for their training and development programs. Due to continued growth and a successful expansion, our client is currently recruiting for Diesel Mechanics/Diesel fitter/Maintenance fitter to join their team.

The Role

This position is responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair work on a range of fixed and mobile equipment across the Feedlot division or Properties division.

The Feedlot is located at Chinchilla, QLD and our Properties are located at Gulf of Carpentaria area, QLD

The key duties and responsibilities required to be performed include but are not limited to the following:

Undertake proactive scheduled maintenance work on all fixed and mobile equipment.
Provide reactive support to operations for equipment breakdowns.
Compliance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Persons employed in this position will be required to:

Trade qualification
Willing and able to service/repair all Feedlot or Properties plant including fixed plant eg., Graders, loaders, prime movers, trailers, light vehicles and tractors.
Punctuality, reliability, and honesty.
The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Trouble shoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
Have the capability of adopting and utilising company quality assurance practices and Workplace, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Safely operating heavy machinery and equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
Good communication skills and high attention to detail.
A sound understanding of Animal Welfare Standards.
This full-time position is being offered at a competitive remuneration ranged between $70,000 - $86,000 plus superannuation.
