Your new company The role sits within the Land Development Division of the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL). This division is responsible for integrated infrastructure and environmental planning, preparing infrastructure contribution plans, managing the Land Development Strategy (timing and sequencing of land development), and the Land Development Program and the planning and delivery of infrastructure to support the release and development of land. To find out more about DIPL, please copy and paste this link into your browser: https://dipl.nt.gov.au/ Your new role The primary purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of projects under the Land Development Programs from planning to handover of enabling infrastructure, in accordance with strategic land use, and infrastructure plans and subdivision development guidelines. Key duties and responsibilities:
Facilitate approvals and lead the delivery of enabling infrastructure master plans, concept design and associated land investigations to support delivery of enabling infrastructure in accordance with the Land Development Program
Oversee the efficient and timely delivery of enabling infrastructure construction projects in accordance with the Land Development Program, as well as oversee the handover of such projects
Coordination cooperation across multiple disciplines and with other business areas within DIPL service authorities and stakeholders at the local and industry level
Provide leadership, support, strategic advice, reporting and management of projects and project teams under the Land Development Program, based on engineering, planning and financial requirements
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Concept Design, Master Planning, Infrastructure Planning and/or Land Development
Demonstrated achievement in strategic planning, project management and advice around land development enabling infrastructure, including the delivery of essential services, roads and drainage infrastructure
Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate others to work effectively, strong collaborative skills, high level verbal and written communication skills with strong liaison and negotiation skills and the ability to prepare a range of quality reports/documentation as well as the ability to work across a complex organisation
Well-developed knowledge of complex land development issues affecting projects and delivery within the Territory, as well as sound knowledge of the NT political and economic environment in relation to land development
A driving licence
What you'll get in return This role is an SAO1 designation. Salary range is between $123,559 - $138,034 + superannuation, per annum.
