Randstad are currently seeking manufacturing technicians for an exciting permanent opportunity in the Australian Defence Industry. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to take part in the manufacture and repair of key components in the upgrade of Naval Vessels. Responsibilities
Performing soldering and integration activities to IPC standards.
Performing general mechanical processing and assembly, electrical and mechanical
testing and utilise glues and solvents in accordance with the relevant process instructions.
Prepare technical reports and procedures in support of manufacturing processes
Develop procedures for products and equipment as required.
Providing routine status reports on refurbishment and manufacturing activities utilising visual management boards.
Carry out testing and inspection of sub-assemblies where applicable, using general purpose or special test equipment.
Actively contribute to HSE improvements within the group, including the creation and update of JSEAs and risk assessments.
Requirements
5 year's experience in a manufacturing environment
Soldering to IPC-3 standard
Competence in oral and written communication
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Structured problem solving
Must have or be eligible for NV1 Defence Security Clearance
