Handwerk is an established cabinetmaking workshop located in Beaconsfield. We have over 20 years experience and work on unique commercial and residential projects.
We are looking for a Cabinet Maker/Joiner & Leading Hand / Foreman / Workshop Manager to join our team.
Cabinet Maker
Job tasks and responsibilities: The successful applicant will assist with workshop projects and also attend to on-site duties, including some supervisory tasks. The successful applicants must show the ability to work in a team and work independently.
Remuneration of $70,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
Leading Hand / Foreman / Workshop Manager
Job tasks and responsibilities: In this workshop based role, the successful applicant will be involved in residential and commercial projects; overseeing jobs progressing on the workshop floor while also working on their own projects. You will need to have deep knowledge of all aspects of cabinet manufacturing and will be working with veneer and other board products, as well as liaising between workshop and office / draftspeople.
Remuneration between $80,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
To be considered for these roles, you must be trade qualified with 5+ years experience in the cabinetmaking and carpentry trade.
Essential skills and experience:
- Construction experience-
- Working at Heights
- Safety awareness
- Workshop experience / ability to use all tools required for the job eg. panel saw, edge bander
- Some supervisory experience
- Strong, open character and always strive to be better
- Solutions orientated
- Strong organisation and communication skills
These are full time roles working 42.5 hours per week on average (7am-4pm).
