The opportunity:
We are currently looking for a permanent full-time pharmacist to join our oncology team at Epic Pharmacy in Lismore NSW. The role will be primarily based at Epic Pharmacy Lismore Pharmacy. Under the guidance of our existing team you will undertake training in the area of oncology and work collaboratively with the broader clinical team to deliver optimum patient-centred care.
In this role, you’ll:
Develop and apply clinical knowledge in the speciality of oncology
Apply your existing pharmacist skills in prescription checking, dispensing, and patient education
Conduct medication history reviews, clinical checks of chemotherapy treatment plans and discharge summaries at transfers of care
Educate and advise staff and counsel patients on chemotherapy treatments
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
Ensure compliance with legislation and contractual obligations
Participate in the provision of clinical trials
Be willing to train in aseptic compounding
