Are you an experienced Fleet Controller? This is an opportunity to join a great team within a national transport company located in Forrestfield. This position is Monday to Friday to work on afternoon shift from 12.00pm - 20.30pm. and every second Sunday, (4 Hour Shift) This position is to commence immediately. The role:
Prepare daily scheduling and planning to ensure efficient PUD to and from major customers
Supervise and monitor the effective allocation of vehicle requirements & staff to ensure delivery standards are met
Ensure all employees and sub-contractors (including labour hire) are adequately inducted and trained to ensure they perform their job safely and efficiently.
Ensure that the fleet is maintained and fit for task and is operating in accordance with service reports/requirements
Conduct Toolbox meetings as required
Coordinate between customer's staff and distribution representatives
Monitor, review and process any maintenance issue arising from the driver's daily prestart checks
To apply you will need:
Proven experience in Fleet Controlling with a variety of vehicle types.
Frontline Supervisor experience
Detailed knowledge of operations planning and scheduling
Familiarity with local & regional transport routes
Technical understanding of vehicle capacity and load maximization factors
Experience in communication and people management skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel
