Byron Bay Student Accommodation is looking for a full-time Accommodation
Manager!
Located in the hub of Byron Bay – we are a fully functioning Hostel and Student
House providing high-level accommodation for international students.
Our Hostel boasts single and twin rooms. Some of the twin rooms have a double bed
and others have two single beds. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed
with WIFI access.  The Hostel has a large semi-commercial and fully equipped
kitchen – with stove tops, ovens, fridges, freezers, microwave ovens, toasters, and blenders
– where our guests can cook their food and separate shared male and female
bathroom areas for guest use. 
Our Student House is located next door to the Hostel. The Student House has 5
bedrooms and caters for up to 8 residents. It is clean and comfortable with an open
plan kitchen, living and dining area.  The residents share the cleaning and house
duties, similar to a traditional shared house arrangement.
The ideal candidate will be educated to at least a Diploma level (Degree level of a high
advantage) in business or similar and have experience in a similar/related role. 
Languages other than English, especially Spanish and Portuguese,  will be a distinct
advantage due to our international client base. 
The Accommodation Manager is required to organise and control the operations of
our Hostel and Student House to provide short-term, highly personalised, high-level
accommodation service for our guests. The Manager is required to ensure guests;
needs, wants and comfort are satisfied during their stay with us.
Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
? directing and overseeing bookings, reception and housekeeping activities
? controlling the selection, training, rostering and supervision of staff
? supervising security arrangements, and garden and property maintenance
? assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction
? overseeing accounting and purchasing and other related activities
? assisting guests with local tourism information
? ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
? manage social media platforms and activity, and run social media promotions
? achieve growth and hit occupancy targets by successfully managing the
marketing and bookings. 
? liaising with international educational travel agents
Salary on offer for the suitable candidate may be in the range of $70,000 to $85,000
per annum plus superannuation (based on a 38-hour week).
