Chemical Manufacturing | Botany location | $130-140k + super Your new company You will be working for a global chemical manufacturing company in Sydney. This is an outstanding permanent opportunity for an experienced SHE Advisor with the requirement to travel to other states up to 50% of the time. Your new role Reporting to the SHE Manager, the key elements of the role are:

Deliver the implementation of SHE Management System across operational sites, business units and acquisitions
Provide specialist advice on functional and site-specific application of the integrated SHE and critical risk management systems and processes
Specialist support in the use of VelocityEHS
Support and monitor annual SH&E Improvement Plans
Participate and/or facilitate risk assessments (e.g. C2RI, Workplace Hazardous Substances, JSERA, HIRAC, etc.)
Monitor regional & country legislation and SHE system changes.
Provide advice on site and operational compliance to the regulatory framework
Grow organisational capability by provision of training on key SH&E competencies (e.g. Permit to Work, Basic Incident Investigation etc.)
Conduct and participate in Critical Control Adequacy Assessments and the deployment and review of Critical Control Effectiveness Tests
Assist with developing MHF Safety Case submissions
Assist in regulator inspections and audits as required
Support maintenance of SHE Management System (Policies, Standards and Procedures, etc.)
Participate in auditing and inspections of SH&E systems as required

What you'll need to succeed

Tertiary qualification in WHS - Cert IV or equivalent
You will have extensive experience in a similar safety role within chemical or petrochemical, or exposure to Major Hazard Facilities/ Dangerous Goods.
Auditing and Leading Investigator certificates are highly desirable
Working knowledge of relevant Aus/NZ WHS legislation and practices
