Western Game Processing Pty Ltd are seeking to employ up to six Meat Process Workers. These positions are full-time and will be available from mid January 2024. Applicants are not required to have previous experience in the industry and on-the-job training and support will be provided.
Your salary will be in accordance with the Meat Industry Award - Meat Processing Establishment (Level 1) starting at $22.61/hour. You will be entitled to annual leave and personal / carer's leave along with all other entitlements and benefits outlined in the Fair Work Information Statement.
You are required to be physically fit, have the ability to work with people from diverse back grounds and be able to follow instruction. Workplace Health and Safety is paramount and the business sees it as being everyone's responsibility to ensure a safe workplace for all.
Duties can include, but are not limited to:
Preparation and assembly of machinery for production and packaging of finished goods
Ensure tools for production (e.g. knives, steels and other tools) are ready for production
Moving carcases from holding chiller to initial process area
Preparing carcases for boning and further processing
Moving carcases from/to process areas for further processing.
Monitoring equipment to ensure that goods are produced properly.
Addressing issues with production equipment and machinery.
Cleaning equipment
Insuring production deadlines are met (including performing overtime as required)
Clean down floors walls and tables and as instructed
Empty bins
Wash down machinery
Inspecting finished goods to ensure they are up to quality standards.
Adhering to Food Safety standards
Packaging and palletizing product
Other duties as directed by Factory Manager
You would be located in the central west of Queensland in Longreach. Successful applicants would be encouraged to undertake further training and upskilling opportunities to increase their industry awareness and knowledge.
