G & T Developers Pty Ltd, trading as Oxame Homes, is a progressive home building business that specializes in small to medium density residential building projects.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager, who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the safe delivery of building projects in respect of a quality, time, and cost.
About the Role
Managing the Construction team and working closely with the Estimator and the Sales team, this role will ensure clients’ needs are met through the timely project delivery and continued collaboration.
Responsibilities of this full-time, permanent role will include but not be limited to:
• Managing the checking and processing of supplier, project procurement and compliance, contracting and payments.
• Assisting with the preparation of building specifications and project schedules.
• Administration of project plan approvals and maintaining project documentation.
• Managing the project financials incl. maintaining the file of labour and materials cost information, defect management.
• Forecast and monitor financials ensuring project costs are within budget.
• Preparing construction programmes and managing the construction jobs onsite.
• Assisting teams including estimating, drafting, scheduling and the contract administration.
• Conducting weekly meeting with the supervisor and discussing the schedule for the next stage.
About You
• Relevant Construction Management degree
• Minimum 3 years work experience as construction manager.
• Ability to accurately interpret plans and specifications
• Advanced computer literacy
• Strong project and financial planning, solid business acumen
• Strategic thinking, applying organisational skills and the ability to efficiently coordinate several projects at once
• Ability to efficiently prioritise and achieve various project deadlines
• Demonstrable negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Proven people management skill with exceptional communication skills and ability to engage
• Showing initiative and openness to further grow own skills
